Simplified Pie Crust of Awesomeness
(makes one crust - for the pie below, make 2x this recipe, roll one out for the bottom, cut one up for a lattice top)
1 1/4 c flour
1 T sugar
1/4 t salt
1/2 c (1 stick) unsalted butter
2 T cold water
Mix everything together, preferably with hands. :-)
Berry Pie Filling
(for 9-11in. pie pan)
"4 c" (1.5 bags frozen) fruit - blackberries, raspberries, or peaches
1/4 c flour
1 c (use 1/2-3/4 c if the fruit is really sweet) sugar
1 T lemon juice (crucial. really good if you use meyer lemons)
Mix everything together. Put in pie shell, cover with lattice top. Bake 15min at 450F, then 50-60min at 350F. Cool at least 15min and devour!
Srsly, this pie is really hard to mess up and awesome. My favorite so far is raspberries.

Let your love flow outward through the universe,
To its height, its depth, its broad extent,
A limitless love, without hatred or enmity.
Then as you stand or walk,
Sit or lie down,
As long as you are awake,
Strive for this with a one-pointed mind;
Your life will bring heaven to earth.
